Celtic Scottish Regimental Dirk Dagger

The Celtic Dirk or long dagger has a long history in Brtish Isles.  Originally a cut-down sword on a dagger handle, it has been used since the Bronze and Iron Ages.  In medieval times, the dirk was used with a broadsword and normally wielded in the left hand.  Many Scottish and Irish males were too poor to afford a sword but nearly all had a dirk.  Dirks were often used to swear upon when taking oaths.

This Celtic Dirk has the customary basket-weave pattern on the handle and a Damascus etched blade.  It comes with a handsome scabbard and a  mini Celtic knife and fork.

Overall Length - 17 1/3"
Blade Length - 11 1/2"
