Another amazing antique carved ivory sphere ( there looks to be 3-4 carved spheres within the main outer sphere ).  Highly detailed carvings.  The stand / pedestal is also carved antique ivory.  Total height of this piece is 8" tall.  Base and sphere is approx. 2" in dia. 

All antique Ivory pieces were purchased in Europe / Asia during WWII (1939-1943). The collector (now estate) was a veteran of the US Military and purchased them and brought them back with him in 1943 for his wife.  All items purchased were before the embargo of Ivory in 1989.
