Balkan/Middle Eastern Musket / Rifle - 24 inch octagonal barrel and a dark bore. My guess this is .50 cal. Attractive built walnut body along the lines of traditional Turkish, Persian, and Caucasian long guns. The iron barrel has a decorated breech section. The full-length wood stock is fastened by four sheet brass bands and has extensive and intricate brass decorative applications on either side of the butt. This is a very handsome example of a Central Europe piece and would make a great decorator piece for a gun room, study, or office. Antique. The action is frozen and would need some work. Overall length is 42.50".
